Bestival Festival Pre Event Review
July 21, 2018 | By: Leeann Walters

The time is rapidly approaching for the best festival of the year Bestival Festival! If you have never had the chance to attend Bestival this is certainly the year to get your ticket as this iconic festival is celebrating it’s 15th Birthday and has more to see and do than ever before. With an array of amazing artists that will surely keep you dancing for three days straight, a multitude of non musical shows and activities to watch and take part in and an assortment of all the foods you could possibly want to eat and try. The music at Bestival 2018 has an exciting and diverse edge of both established and upcoming artists meaning that there is always something to cater for everyone’s music genre preferences. A taste of some of the music to be expected this year include:
‘Silk City’ consisting of teamed up party legend’s Diplo and Mark Ronson to headline Friday night. One of the most anticipated releases this year. Bestival may be one of the only chances to witness this iconic duo perform their tracks live and a show not to be missed.

Four piece indie band ‘Black Honey’ demonstrating amazing vocals and guitar talent will be there to bring a shot of cool new talent to the stage and one of the most talked about new acts of late.
Garage punk/ Rock band Nosebleed will be tearing the stage up in another outstanding show. For amazing talent, great guitar riffs and fist pumping tunes Nosebleed provide the edge on alternative music and definitely one to make sure you get down to see.

Scratching the surface of acts gracing this year’s Bestival some other great performances not to be missed include Rudimental, Faithless, Django Django, The Big Moon, Idles and First Aid Kit.

Other aspects that make Bestival one of the most unique festival’s to attend is the entertainment featuring different events and activities that will have you in awe and wonder throughout the entirety of the weekend. A few of these I would highly recommend and say should not be missed include:
Gorilla Circus & Flying Trapeze School

Giving festival goers the chance to run away and join the primal circus you will have the opportunity to test your nerves and take part in the ‘have a swing’ session and learn the skills of a trapeze artist!
The World’s Biggest Bouncy Castle

I am so excited that the World’s Biggest Bouncy Castle will be making a triumphant return to Bestival! Taller than the Great Wall Of China and around three times larger than the Berlin Wall this immense bouncy castle can comfortably allow up to 100 festival goers at a time. It is without a doubt one of the most fun things you will ever have the chance to do….so come on down and get bouncing!

Twinkly Barn
If you happen to find your way through the magical Bestival woods you will find the Twinkly barn at the end of the woodland. Featuring a variety of DJs and some unexpected fun you will be able to party into the early hours!
A few more amazing things to look out for at Bestival this year include The World’s Biggest Confetti Cannon, getting the party started each day at the Temple Stage to which there will be much explosive joy to be had! Utilita Power Tree featuring relaxing benches, phone charging and DJs make an exciting return to the festival. Cirque Bijou, Crafty Corner, The Magic Teapot and the Transformation Station are to name but a few of the different things offered at Bestival to keep you happy, entertained and looking your best.
