Skrillex at Bestival review
October 3, 2015 | By: Leeann Dare
With out a doubt my favourite performance of the Bestival Summer of Love weekend, his performance was flawless from beginning to end. Despite the emence downpour of rain during the closing Port set fans turned out in droves to see the legendary Skrillex on the decks. Known for his intense dubstep electro beats thrown in gave a whole new sense of diversity to his show. The lighting was intense to say the least with on point lasers, girls with fire poi and other lit devices and a light show purposely set around his set list, the Port was the perfect stage for this incredible act. The sound was also amazing and could be heard the entire width of the port and over half way back through the crowd. Skrillex known for his intense beats and deep bass gave nothing short of an outstanding performance. With classics like ‘Bangarang’ and ‘Make It Bun Dem’ played along with a few recent collaborations his set contained variety and musical genius that kept the crowd drawn from beginning to end. Skrillex was the perfect act to close the Port Stage on the Sunday Bestival Festival summer of love weekend and I for one can not wait to see what is in store for next year at Bestival…..
