The entirety of Camden Town was swamped with fans of all sorts, from Indie, to Disco, to Metal, to Ska. A very diverse festival, but in some way, showcasing all types of genre’s only minutes away from each other was clearly a success. At a cloudy and gloomy 4pm, Sonic Boom Six hit the Underworld with their electric ska-reggae-punk vibes, getting the crowd warmed
up, eventually. Alas, it seemed not many turned up for this radical band, but they pursued to show the crowd they did have their fantastic ability to jump from their usual lively music to some rather entrancing 3-way MC-ing. An absolutely fantastic set, and definitly a band that should not have been missed on this day.
After a couple more bands, the ever so hectic Blackhole took the stage. A band full of energy, with songs packed with emotion, making it almost impossible not to at least tap a foot or nod a head. With promises of a bunch of new material soon to surface, front man Richard Carter surely showed the crowd they meant buisness, spending majority of his time on the floor, getting close and personal with the crowd. Again, another band that didn’t get the crowd they deserved.
Over at The Barfly, the ground floor was bouncing with DJ sets, one especially from the fantastic Robot’s In Disguise. Upstairs showed a more heavier side to music. Glamour Of The Kill took to the stage, except this
time, it was clear that they were very popular with today’s festivities. Kids and teenagers flooded the floor, giving this band a reception and a half. With some absolutely stunning vocals and pretty
ground breaking riffs, it’s no wonder there were kids flying and jumping all over the place.
Eventually, Barfly’s headliners for today, Exit Ten took the stage. With a beautiful intro, and a bunch of songs off “Remember The Day”, they really put on a fantastic set. A new song tickled the
taste buds of The Ten Army tonight, and by the sounds of it, this band are up to something different but amazing at the same time, once again. After a grand 40 minute set, the Reading metallers left the stage, and ended what was an obscure but interesting day. [7]
