The Believers Never Die; Part Deux tour features five bands that all fit together rather well music wise, as a tour should. Hey Monday, Cobra Starship, Metro Station, All Time Low, and Fall Out Boy are all part of this rather grand tour. Hey Monday open up the show with their high energy pop that doesn’t quite seem to thrill most of the crowd. They are newcomers to the music scene, but had their loyal fans none-the-less.[6]
Cobra Starship took the stage next performing songs such as The City Is At War and a crowd favorite, Snakes On A Plane. Gabe Saporta, lead singer, had the crowd dancing and singing along.[8]
Up next was Metro Station, most of the girls in the crowd seemed to be infatuated with Trace Cyrus, singer and guitar player, especially when he removed his shirt part way through their set. They played hits off of their self-titled record including Kelsey and Seventeen Forever. Shake It was the last song they played which literally had the crowd shaking what their momma gave them.[8]
After Metro Station came a band from Maryland called All Time Low, they opened up their set with “Jasey Rae.” Playing all of their hit singles including, Dear Maria, Poppin’ Champagne, Coffee Shop Soundtrack, and Six Feet under the Stars, all of which had the crowd of the WaMu Theater singing at the top of their lungs along with singer and guitarist, Alex Gaskarth. Making sexual innuendos and jokes throughout the night All Time Low never seems to disappoint their crowd one bit, but the set times could have been a bit longer; half an hour just doesn’t seem to cut it.[9]
After All Time Low, Fall Out Boy might have a hard time keeping the crowds interest. But, when Fall Out Boy come on the stage in suits, ties, dress shoes and even a few wigs, one can’t help but be intrigued. They were accompanied by two men in police squad outfits banging on drums to the tune of the song. They came out on stage playing Disloyal Order of Water Buffaloes off of their newest release Folie a Deux. After five songs they decided to dump their political awareness alter ego there was a slight intermission of sorts. They came back on the stage as Fall Out Boy in normal clothing. They continued on to play songs such as America’s Suithearts, I Don’t Care, (Coffee’s for Closers), Thnks Fr Th Mmrs, What a Catch Donnie, and a cover of Beat It.
Gaskarth of All Time Low came out to help sing Grand Theft Autumn. Everyone sang along and throughouly enjoyed Fall Out Boy’s one hour set. Be sure to check out this tour that will have you dancing all the way home![9]
