The street outside of the newly renamed 02 Academy in Newcastle is buzzing tonight as the crowd begin to gather for this evenings Exit Ten show. The first band on stage are Newcastles own This Is Divine. The boys perform songs such as ‘Sinatra Syndrome’ and myspacers favourite ‘Ssseven’ from their brand new EP ‘Broadcast’. With lightening fast riffs and screams that could shatter glass, This Is Divine sound like an early Geordie answer to Floridas finest Underoath. [7]

Next up on the bill are fellow North East band The Casino Brawl. The Brawl have made quite a name for themselves over the last year or so and are becoming one of Newcastles finest bands. Their stage presence is amazing, getting the not so kinetic crowd now bounding about the room and singing every word back to them. With their debut album ‘Shades; Directions’ due for release on June 15th and already an massive fanbase, this band are going to be huge. [8]

The Casino Brawl are quickly followed by Bedford foursome Don Broco. The pop rock quintet are warmly welcomed by tonights crowd, especially two screaming die hard fans hanging over the barrier who the band appear to know by name. Don Broco are another up and coming band who are definately going to be big. The songs are catchy, the on stage banter is flowing and they even manage to open up a massive circle pit to the annoyance of the two lonesome security guards. All in all, this band are a one to watch. [9]

Finally, headlining Reading five peice Exit Ten grace the Academy 2 stage. This band look every bit like the usual scenecore screamo band, but they have all the proficiency of any massive metal band. The stage at Academy 2 isn’t the biggest, but this doesn’t stop vocalist Ryan Redman flying about and posing for photos. It’s not surprising that the room has been filled tonight. What is surprising though is the age range of the fans, going from people in their early teens, to people in their late thirties and forties. This however does not stop the crowd from being anything but astounding and equally supportive towards all four bands.
